STIR\/SHAKEN is a set of technical standards and protocols that allow for the authentication and verification of caller ID information for calls carried over Internet Protocol (IP) networks that can assist communication service providers in preventing unwanted robocalls from connecting with their desired endpoints.  <\/p>

It allows service providers to place a digital signature on calls as they originate on their network, which verifies the call is being placed from someone with the right to use the number.<\/p>\r\n \r\n
