The researchers were able to see the animal’s movements in real time, allowing them to determine the speed and direction of its movements, as well as the direction and speed of the prey that it was chasing.
They also captured the movement of prey, which allowed the researchers to estimate the time it took for the croc to catch its prey. This information was then used to create a computer model of how the crocodilians hunt in order to better understand how they hunt and why they do it. The researchers used a combination of computer modeling and field observations to show that crocs use a variety of techniques to hunt.
