After a Texas homeowner illegally captured an alligator from Lake Conroe, he told wildlife officials that he brought it home to keep it as a pet.
The homeowner, who has not been identified, said he had no idea that the reptile was a gator until he saw it in the water, according to WFAA-TV in Houston. The homeowner said that when he tried to catch it, it bit him on the arm.
