One way is to get the turtle to bite onto a stick or broom handle, pull out the neck as far as you can, and remove the head with one clean cut with an ax. One shot to the top of the head is all it takes to end the life of a turtle. If you don’t have access to a rifle, a shotgun will work just as well.
Just make sure that the shotgun is loaded with buckshot, not lead shot. If you do have the ability to fire a gun, it is a good idea to practice with it before you go out into the wild. It is very easy to accidentally shoot yourself or someone else with a loaded gun.

Do turtles need baths?
