Snake eyes’ box office may have been due to franchise fatigue. It’s hard to find the next big franchise that will bring people to the theater. I think if you look at the last 20 years of movies, you’ll see that the most successful franchises are the ones that haven’t changed very much.

The film then follows Fury as he leads his unit into battle against the forces of Cobra and their leader, General Stacker Pentecost (John Turturro), who is attempting to take over the United States of America with the help of his henchmen, the Red Skull (Hugh Jackman) and the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). Jr.), and that his father was killed during the Battle of New York during World War II.
