From all over the world, respected traditional elders from nations across great turtle island (north america) and abya yala (mexico, central, and south america) came together in the center of the north american continent in canada from july 19–22.
The event was organized by the Indigenous Peoples of North America (IPNA), a non-profit organization based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. IPNA’s mission is to promote and protect the rights and interests of Indigenous peoples and their lands, waters, territories, cultures, languages and traditions.
