Alligator point is a hot spot for both inshore and offshore fishing. The community’s protected bay, Alligator Harbor Aquatic Preserve, spans 14,366 acres. An important habitat for a variety of marine mammals, including dolphins, porpoises, sea lions and sea turtles can be found in this massive water sanctuary.

Is Alligator Point beach closed?
Point are closed to all residents because of the storm surge. (FWC) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) are working together to determine the best course of action for the affected areas. DEP will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.

This is one of my favorite places in Florida and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing beach day.

They will be relaxing in the shade of the tall trees. Alligators are known for their aggressive behavior, so be sure to keep an eye out for them. If you see an alligator, don’t approach it. Instead, call 911 and report the incident.
Are there alligators on the beach in Florida?
Humans are not the only ones heading to the coast for a beach vacation. WBBH-TV, visitors to Florida’s Fort Myers Beach spotted an alligator swimming along the water’s edge. WINK reported that a man walking his dog on the beach spotted the gator and called the police. The man told the station that he saw the reptile for about a minute before it swam away.
