Can a painted turtle live in a 10 gallon tank?

Are there turtles that stay small?
The spotted turtles, eastern mud and striped mud turtles, razorback and common musk turtles, and the males of most common pond turtle species are the best pet turtles that stay small as they do not grow as large as the females.
